Activities

Women empowerment and gender equality

We help families escape the cycle of poverty through a range of vocational trainings such as tailoring, bakery, catering, small scale farming among others and equipping teenage mothers with the skills they need to earn a sustainable income.

We mobilize women to save through joining community savings and loans groups in order to invest for the future and set up small businesses.

Provision of an opportunity to orphans and vulnerable children to get education

We offer orphans and the vulnerable children an opportunity to learn well at school through providing them with scholastic materials. We are strengthening our education team’s understanding of inclusive learning, including how to address discrimination and promote child participation.

We are ensuring that children know their rights, with a focus on ending violence, government investment in child-centered initiatives and reproductive health.

We provide access to protective, safe, inclusive and quality learning environments for the vulnerable children and orphans. This has led to a significant improvement in learning and developmental achievement.

HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns

We provide basic medical care, preventive medicine, and a voluntary testing and counseling center for those affected by HIV/AIDS. All services are open to the community, enabling many people to receive treatment who could not otherwise afford it.

We work towards strengthening the support systems for vulnerable families within the community in order to reduce stigma among the vulnerable children living with HIV/AIDS.

Girl-child education

We support children to know and demand their rights, to raise their voices to people in power. We help strengthen local child protection systems, make schools safer and provide safe places for the most vulnerable children.

We have started up a project of of improving reproductive health and reducing sexual and gender based violence among adolescents.

Through our life skills program,we are helping adolescent girls build vocation and life skills in safe spaces. This has in turn led to a likelihood in their engagement in income generating activities.
